Rabbits with other Animals
The most suitable type of animal to keep your rabbit company is another rabbit.
It is not recommended to keep a rabbit and guinea pig together for the following reasons:
1. Rabbits have very strong hind legs and can kick with great force. They are quite capable of breaking the guinea pigs legs or ribs or worse.
2. Rabbits can harbour Bordetella, harmless to the rabbit, but is pathogenic for the guinea pig.
3. Guinea pigs have a much higher daily requirement for vitamin C, this is generally provided in large quantities of green food, possibly more than the rabbit is used to.
